Tovarish Blue Streak, the Punjabi mascot of this website, turns two today and we want to celebrate with you. Being Punjabi means being full of life - the songs, the dances, the food, and today's celebration are all about that. This is also a day when we are reminded that language is just one way to express ourselves. If you're in Punjabi-speaking areas then "Bhola Te Mirza" can't be far away because it translates as "Happy Birthday". Hira Choudhry invites us tonight to take in songs sung by students attending his Friday night class at Columbia College Chicago in Urdu alongside audio recorded in Lahore by Shabana Malik. Ending tonight's soundtrack are two songs in Urdu - the first is "Aao Bachon, Aao Bachon" performed by Saleem Raza in 1978 for his soundtrack to the film "Chillar Party"; the second is "Khuda Mere Nahi Hai" by Noor Jehan from the film "Dulhan Ek Raat Ki" - music by Roshan.
